Remote access is the ability to log onto a computer from another location using a network connection. Although remote access is very useful for legitimate users, it also allows attackers to break into computers remotely as well. Attackers are able to use this feature to break into computers that do not belong to them from anywhere in the world, provided that they can find out genuine user credentials.
Notable examples of remote access tools are SSH and TeamViewer.
